Annuity Instructions

We are completely independent and not tied to promoting the annuities of any one financial organisation.

If you take out an annuity via us, for which you have given us instructions we will not give you any advice. However, we can be of assistance in helping you with the administration involved in setting up the policy. This will not involve additional fees.

What we do

Our main aim is to help you make more of your annuity purchase by providing the best information, the best service and the best annuity rates.

Duty of Care and Confidentiality

We act as your agent in arranging your annuity transactions. We are bound by the rules of the Financial Services Authority and under the general law have a duty of care to you to conduct our business with skill, care and diligence.

Money

We do not handle clients' money. We never accept cash or a cheque made out to us unless it is a cheque in settlement of fees, charges or disbursements for which we have sent you a bill.

Remuneration

We are remunerated by deriving income from commission paid to us in respect of annuity transactions. Most of this commission is rebated back into the annuity to enhance the rate which you receive. We will tell you the amount of commission payable to us on any such transaction.

Registration and Documents of Title

All documents of title to investments (e.g. policy documents relating to the purchased annuity) will be forwarded to you as soon as is practicable if we receive them.

Termination

You, or we, may terminate our authority to act on your behalf at any time, without penalty.
